Arrangements for the Funeral of Susan Lund

Thursday 31st March 2022 at 2pm

Sue’s family and friends are invited to attend a ceremony at Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground on the 31st March at 2pm to say goodbye to her.

Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground and Nature Reserve is part of the growing movement towards natural, woodland and green burial grounds around Britain.

As a natural burial ground, Sun Rising is very special: they are not burying in established woodland, or preserving grazing land as some other green burial grounds do; they are creating a nature reserve. It takes time, developing not just through sensitive planting and careful management, but with each and every person who is buried there.

We’re hoping the sun will shine but be prepared to bring extra clothing appropriate for time outdoors, and simply dress as if you were coming to visit.

No flowers please – if you wish, donations can be made to Leuchie House – somewhere Sue loved to visit.

You will find information on how to get to Sun Rising, donation information and the reception afterwards in the sections below.

When I think of Sue, I think of strength. A woman who always told it like it was, who was honest and straight talking. I also think of her fierce love for her family and how she always welcomed me, and then later, Simon – later still Noah and Sadie into their lives. Much love to Chris, Vince, Maya and their lovely families. Xx
