Frank Mullen

Frank MullenArrangements for the Hooley of Francis Xavier Mullen

Monday 30th November 2015 from 1.00pm

In accordance with Frank’s wishes, his family have arranged for his cremation to take place in private.

But it wouldn’t be right to let Frank go without a big hooley.

If it was anyone else’s funeral, this is where Frank would have been. So in keeping with his own custom Frank’s ashes will be arriving in style at Highbury Hall and will preside over your farewells from their rightful place – the bar.

The hooley starts at 1pm and as you’d expect will involve plenty of beer, gin, food and music. Whilst it won’t be a traditional funeral service there will of course be a few words spoken to send Frank on his way. Make sure you come ready to share your own thoughts and memories about Frank too.

Please feel free to post any messages for Frank’s family at the bottom of this webpage.

Highbury Hall Address: 4 Yew Tree Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8QG

A map can be found by clicking this link

Frank would prefer this to be a celebration of his life so please feel free to come dressed casually, or dressed-up. This is a party so don’t feel you have to wear traditional funeral attire.

No flowers please, but Frank received some wonderful care from St Mary’s Hospice so if you would like to do something in his memory there will be an opportunity for you to give a donation.

If you’d like to send a donation directly, the address is: Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, 176 Raddlebarn Road, Selly Park, Birmingham, B29 7DA

we send our deepest condolences to Betty, Anna, Fiona, Elizabeth and their families. i would have wished to spend more time with my brother but we were separated for so long by circumstance and geography. It meant that the time we did get to share was all the more special. He will be missed by me and all those in our family that were fortunate enough to know him

Thank you all for your beautiful messages of support. They mean a great deal to us all. Da would have been delighted to know he had his own web page. to know that you all thought enough of him to take the time to share your support would make him raise that wonderfully cheeky smile of his. Sure he’d be refreshing the page evry two seconds… So, We’re sending him off on his way in the manner in which he wanted. Mrs Brown would be jealous! and whilst he is dearly and truly missed, we know he’ll be with us on the 30th to share and enjoy the celebration of his life. Much love to you all, Fiona.
