Arrangements for the funeral of Mike McCleary

You are invited to attend a service of remembrance and thanksgiving for the life of Mike McCleary. This will be held at Redditch Crematorium at 3.30pm.
All are invited back to the Austin Sports and Social Club after the service to remember and celebrate Mike’s life.
Mike’s family welcome any tributes, words of remembrance and stories about him so do feel free to leave any messages at the bottom of this webpage.

Mike was truely one of a kind. He was a genuinely lovely guy who always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. I remember when I was expecting my daughter he would always stop us and say hello nic how long until your bun is cooked, my daughter is now nearly 13 and he still stopped us and asked how’s bun and called her bun when he seen her I will always remember mike with a smile on my face will carry many fond memories of him he may be gone from our sight but never from our hearts you will always be remembered mike rest easy now mate xxxxxxxx

My brother was one in a million he always had a joke to tell or a prank to pull. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and he will always be up to help people in anyway possible. I will never forget you Mick and I will share the memories of you to your son Jack . I remember the last thing you said to me you said “see you later old bird love you” I will cherish that memory forever and I love you more than words can say R.I.P Mick xxxx

Gone far too young! Heart of gold and spirit of a champion. Growing up on Frankley even the best lads got in trouble but not Mick. Always polite and happy even as a kid with all his health issues he showed real character smiling through adversity. Mick will always be remembered in his prime a new peter pan rip top lad.
Mick u was such a good friend to me throughout all the years I have known you we had so many memories and day trips and adventures along the way u always called me harry for years and u were Clive. It was such a pleasure to be your friend mick u were always the one that couldn’t take anything seriously that’s what every body loved and a great sense of humour! It hurts to know I will never see you again my mate but I will treasure the memories we had together rip mick always be missed ?
After a wonderful time with Jack arriving in the World and such a tragic event with Mike’s passing, following so soon.
So sad and unfair.

Just heard about passing of mikey…I worked with Mike for a couple of years and enjoyed his company greatly a real gent always smiling and we always hadn’t great laugh together. Rip mikey x
