Sorry to hear about the loss of Denis, he was a gentle, caring man and his passing will be a sad loss to his family.
I did not have the honour of knowing Dennis but I know his daughter and she spoke of him in loving terms . My sincere condolences to all his family and friends
JOY’S DAD
Such a lovely and caring gentleman who I know will be much missed by his family and friends.
He was a regular visitor to Peter Guild Ltd with Joy’s mum where I worked with Joy. Always smiling and happy and would chat with us all. RIP Dennis with your lovely wife, together again xxx
Den (Joys Dad)
A wonderful man, kind, caring and thoughtful, one of the very best and I am honored to have known him. He often referred to me as his 3rd daughter which meant a lot to me (I would of loved him to be my dad). Joy has been my best friend for over 30 years and I want Den to know that she means the world to me and I will always look out for her. Den loved his family very much and in turn was deeply loved by them all. He will be greatly missed by many and leaves a big hole in lots of lives. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know him and I know that he is at peace and reunited with his loving wife Pat. xxx
Den was a wonderful brother in law.
He was such a kind and gentle man, who always had a smile on his face.
He loved kids, and was never happier than when he had one of his grandchildren on his lap.
His loss to the family will leave a huge hole, but he is no longer in pain. He is in a better place, and has been reunited with his Pat.
Love from Meg & Harry xxx
As Janet’s father, Den became part of our extended family of friends. We will miss seeing his warm and welcoming smile on his regular visits to Birmingham.

To my wonderful grandad I miss you more than words could ever say. I’m sorry I can’t be there to say good bye. You will always have a place in my heart. Growing up you have been one of the best role models I could have ever have wished for an for that I am eternally thankful.

Our Grandad Tobydog was the most loving man, alot of our childhood was spent going to see him and Grandma in Kempston, which always felt like our second home. Always greeted at the front door with a huge hug and kiss and we always had the best time. My grandad used to call me a right old chatterbox just like my aunty Joy..he would show me all the veg growing in the garden and how to help it grow, teasing me about having worm and mud sarnies. I have so many memories and could go on for hours. He would always make me smile with his Norfolk accent and funny phrases he would try to teach me. My Grandad was proud of all his grandchildren, he was a baby magnet too and always the first to have a cuddle with the baby in the family, both my daughter’s thought the world of him. He was a wonderful, funny and caring man. We love you millions Grandad and always will. Until we meet again. Xxx
Dennis Carter – the most perfect gentleman. He was genuinely a lovely guy, with just the right amount of cheeky charm! Watching his relationship with Naomi as kids was so special.. he was everything a granddad should be and more! And that just never seemed to change! I feel so grateful to of known him and loved watching every minute at Joy’s wedding to Paul. The pride he felt that day just beamed off him and everyone could feel it! I think I got more emotional seeing him walk down the aisle then Joy! It is so clear He was a very special Dad. He had so much happiness in his heart, the smile on his face lasted all day/night and all those dance moves put us younger ones to shame!! He was a kind, caring, adorable man with all the banter! What more could you ask for??! What an amazing life and impact he has had on so many people. I will truly always remember you with a smile.
Such a lovely man and wonderful father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
I have great memories of being with you and Grandma, when you looked after us. Going to the corner shop to buy sweets, going in the car to collect grandma from work and singing songs, and playing in the garden. We will miss you, but will remember you and think of the nice memories we had. Thank you for being a great Grandad and Great Grandad.
