Annabel was a great inspiration to me when I worked at PSS. She supported me when she was my performance manager and her kindness and encouragement still resonate with me today. A lovely lovely lady

Annabel was a work colleague for number of years but saying that sounds too formal and stuffy because ultimately Annabel was a friend as well as a work colleague. The team we worked in was a joy and with Annabel as part of that team I had some very happy times and feel fortunate to have those people in my life. Annabel was always so calm and positive and someone who would listen to you and offer very good advice. I have lots of happy memories of her and those friends in PSS that I will treasure and I know we will all miss her..a lovely, talented lady.

We were talking once about the power of books and films and imagination. It was a great conversation but I remember particularly Annabel’s story of the time she shouted VERY LOUDLY the word NO in a crowded cinema whilst watching that special scene from the film The Piano! Wonderful.

I was fortunate enough to come to know Annabel through Bearwood community events that she supported so passionately. Her friendly and positive nature touched me greatly as I’m sure it did many, many other people.

My darling friend, how fortunate was I to end up sharing a desk with you in 2AW?
Your patience, kindness, calm disposition (yes, seriously!), compassion were always evident even when we were ‘little girls’.
We didn’t meet often, but we could always pick up – my touchstone and bright star. Every time I kick that bar in Aber, it’s for you Cariad. Love you always xx

Thank you Annabel for your insightful and creative boards, which you made to communicate with pupils, families and teachers in ways that words in paper never could.

A remarkable lady who we had the pleasure of knowing for almost thirty years. Anna will be greatly missed by all who knew her but her memory and inspiration will live on in our hearts and through her wonderful children. May you rest in peace xx

When I first started at PSS Annabel was my line manager but over time I had the good fortune to count her as a friend. She didn’t just teach me how to do my job but she also taught me the importance of keeping people at the centre of all we do. I can recall watching her in awe as she represented what had been shared and discussed visually and the privilege I felt when she trusted me to colour in! She is and will be so missed by those of us who were lucky to know her xx

Annabel was a beautiful person both inside and out. A beacon of light in a difficult world. She was always insightful, reflective and positive. Someone I admired and aspired to emulate. She will leave a huge gap in the world.
