My lovely Aunty B. What a lady! We didnt see each other as often as I wish we could have, but whenever we did she would make me smile, the kind of smile you couldn’t help! A natural ability to calm and make the impossible seem possible. Wise, funny and above all, one of those rare human beings who just made this world better by being in it. Loved by my children the instant they met her…with her encouragement and belief in everyone and whatever they happened to be doing in their lives. I will never forget her and always be grateful to call her my family. Fly high Aunty B, say hi to mummy and Yvette for me, you will always be missed..Alyssa

I called her godmother, indeed she was one , a mother sent to me by god himself.
She showered me with love, warmth and care and never was a moment when she missed out on checking on me.
On my visit to her last Christmas we were having a chat about life , love and everything else to do with my life.
After hearing me out she had a smile on her face and she said to me these words and that changed my outlook towards life and I follow it with all my heart.
“Have courage and be strong my darling “
I miss her every day and she will forever be my guiding star?
I called this lovely lady ‘Mum’ for nearly 40 years. Theres many a tale, usually involving wine! I remember the first time we all went to Corfu, I hesitated at the top of the steps going onto the plane, and I felt a hand on my back pushing me forward. Memories of a long chat, while standing in the sea in Corfu. She told me how to park the car properly. She was there after her granddaughter was born, and came nearly every night after, as I was having other family problems. I am still going to blame her when a level crossing comes down in the middle of nowhere, and if I land up going ‘via Scotland’. God bless Mum, free of pain now, Lots of love your ‘daughter; Alex xxxxxx
Sometimes in life there are people you meet for a brief moment but their smile and aura leave you with for ever a warm feeling never forgotten rest in peace. Im sending my love to her Family her nearest and dearest goodbye bright star x
My Nan Nan. Still can’t believe you have gone. It feels so surreal. So wrong. But its comforting knowing that you are finally at peace and no longer in pain. I will never forget you. Your wonderful happy laugh, your warmth and infinite wisdom. You will be missed. I love you so much. Till we meet again <3 xxxx
I was lucky enough to meet this lovely lady when I was just 11. I had just started secondary school with Mel, and met Beryl at a girl guide event where she firmly (but very kindly) told me that I had spelt her surname wrong on some raffle tickets we were selling! It’s funny the things that you remember the most. Beryl and Mole took me on my first ever holiday on a plane (to Corfu, also!) and they both have shown me so much love and kindness over nearly 40 years of friendship. Beryl was a very warm, calm, reassuring person, but with the sharpest wit and wickedest sense of humour I am likely to ever meet. She retained all of her amazing qualities right up until the end and I feel privileged and very grateful to have had her in my life. God bless you Beryl, sleep tight xxx
