So many memories growing up opposite the Hanlons and Corcoran and next to.the Hoppers. Playing in gardens, picnics on the Croft and balmy summer evenings outside chatting. However, the memory that always pops in when I think of Doris is the chronicle of the spider on crutches. So much unforgettable belly laughter. Thank you, Doris. Sue xxx
As a family, the McCutcheons spent such lovely times living in Bericote Croft, with Doris, Bill, Maggie, Sandra and Julie as neighbours. Such simple pleasures as the kids all playing out together – dolls hospital, shops, picnics and generally enjoying the outdoors.
Many times we would all stand opposite each other in our doorways, having a good old chinwag and a laugh, often until it became dusk, after a day of us kids playing out.
Doris had such a wonderful laugh and if something tickled her, she wouldn’t be able to stop laughing for ages !!!
Although we are all so much older now, those happy times leave great memories – treasures that money cannot buy. As for Doris, she is of course a very big part of those memories and although we are sad at her leaving to join Bill, Sandra and other loved ones, we are happy that she was such a lovely part of our lives. Rest in peace Doris, you’ll always be remembered with such joy. Lots of love. Maxine xxxx

Really such a wonderful tribute from Doris’ family in her memory. And so perfect that you found a way of introducing Doris’ glorious giggle and hoots of laughter into the ceremony! Thinking of you all.
Much love, Liz and Evan xxx
