John was a wonderful addition to our sessions at Leaf Creative Arts in Stirchley. He had a mischievous Black Country humour, and a great character. I loved seeing his pictures from all around the world and his young seafaring / sailing days. There was a lot more to John than met the eye. We will all miss him at Leaf Creative Arts. A true gent indeed! He was unable to come to our sessions recently, but Robert, his OT, always kept us updated on how he was doing. We’re grateful to Robert for bringing John to meet us and becoming integral in our group. A fine man who will be missed by all of us. We (The Leaf Creative ARts Team) will light a candle on the day of the funeral (which takes place on the same morning) as a small token of our deep respect, to mark the occasion, and aim to get to the funeral, either in person or online.

We will miss your wit and your very dry sense of humor but above all your company, Bob used to love winding you up, each week David would take you shopping, as time passed you became a resident in the cafe at Sainsbury’s often having a coffee and cake whilst David did the shopping, Bob loved joining you but not until he had nicked your cake or hidden your paper ! It did not stop there though , he would pop round with 2 chicken legs and come back an hour later having shared a glass or two of your favorite red wine …. Always happy to have a chat and a catch up was John. Xx god bless you our friend you will be missed.

Well my irascible friend you will be sorely missed, larger than life, good sense of humour and always loyal. Dinner parties galore, birthday celebrations. Long chats, debates and a few disagreements always finished off with a laugh and a hug. Always happy to see his friends. John you are now free from pain, going on your journey to make more friends, with laughter along the away. God bless you my old friend xx
