Sujata was a wonderful person who could light up a room when she walked in. Sujata has been a great friend to both of us. We will always remember her generosity and support to us personally and as an ambassador for the Birmingham Hash House harriers in the many roles she facilitated. She had a kind heart and wicked sense of humour. We will miss her terribly and the world is a sadder place without her.

Rest in peace dear friend lots of Love Mark and Judith Williams

Sujata, I met you during my three years in England. You were always ready for any spontaneous and fun action and often made me laugh. You were very committed and always helpful. Your extroversion exuded humor and joy. And yet one could feel that there is also a profound and emotional person in you. Su, the fact that you are no longer here shocked me and hit me hard. Wherever you are now – I wish you the peace you have been looking for. Knowing you was a gift. The world is colder without you.

Taken a while to write, as so awfully sad. Always hoped Sujata/Susie/Stretchy would get back to her old vibrant, funny, welcoming friendly self, and we’d be out hashing, dancing, socialising or sharing a bottle of red again. Hard to believe that can’t happen, she is and always will be terribly missed. Rip love Jules xx

I can only agree with Martin’s words and am so shocked and saddened by this news. I met Su when I was visiting my friend Martin in England and spontaneously took part at a hash run. From the very first moment I was received by her in such a candid, cheeky and warm-hearted manner as seldom in my life. I will always remember you and this extraordinary, fabulous journey as “Tommy” in a wonderful “Pippi longstockings” story. Be “wild, cheeky and wonderful” – surrounded by good souls and happiness wherever you are now.

I will remember the good times shared with Susie/Stretchy. The Hash runs, the laughs in the pub, the nights out seeing live bands. She was a good friend who will be sadly missed.

    RIP

Su, we will all miss you forever. You added such colour and a sparkel to everywhere we went (and sometimes a wild-fire! LOL) but we will keep thinking of you and will always be saying “if Stretchy was here….she’d be….”! i’ll keep up the wild side tradition. Rest in Peace darling. See you at the next check. XX Tweeny

Su, a light in the world for so many of us. She was a very good friend especially at times of need. I’ll remember our trips to the charity shop where she would bundle my arms with beautiful colour clothes to help me out of my dull grey woolies 🤣.
